Fictional business, built to show what’s possible

How Storm works

Drawn live by your device as you watch. None of it is a video.

The roof
About 600 slates, each a small 3D object. Scroll, and they lock down in a wave.
The rain and wind
9,000 streaks on a computer, 3,600 on a phone, all moved by the graphics chip.
The words
Ordinary text, so search engines and screen readers read it, with or without the 3D.
Your device
It stops off screen. Less motion, no 3D or a slow device gets still pictures instead.
Built with
three.js and GSAP ScrollTrigger. A still picture shows while the storm starts.

Water coming in?Answered day and night

No. 01 Storm, a roofing website concept

Storm outside. Dry inside.

Roof repairs, re-roofs and emergency call-outs. If water is coming in now, ring the number that stays on screen. A roofer answers, day or night.

Emergencies

A leak at midnight goes like this.

  1. 1You ring. A roofer answers, not a call centre, and asks where the water is getting in.
  2. 2We make it safe first. A tarpaulin or temporary cover on the same visit, so no more water gets in tonight.
  3. 3Then the proper repair. Photos of what we found, and a written price before any work starts.

Services

New roofs: ten years, in writing
It covers our workmanship. The slates, tiles and membrane carry their makers’ own guarantees as well.
What it does not cover
Storm damage to a different part of the roof, or work someone else does after us. We say so now, not when you ring.

Ready for the next one.

Book a roof check before winter and we will look, take photos and tell you straight what needs doing and what can wait. Or ring the moment something gives.

Office 8 till 6, Monday to Saturday. Emergencies day and night.

You have just scrolled through a concept

That was Storm. Hale & Batten is not real. The ideas are.

What makes a roofing website work

People land on a roofer’s website in one of two moods. Water is coming in now, or they are planning work and comparing quotes. A modern roofing website serves both, quickly, on a phone.

  1. The number, everywhere

A worried homeowner should never hunt for it. Top of every page, one tap to call, never hidden behind a menu.

  2. What happens when they ring

Who answers, how you make it safe, when they get a price. Not knowing is what sends people to the next roofer.

  3. Proof they can check

Photos of your own roofs, before and after, and reviews people can find on Google. One real photo beats any stock image.

  4. Guarantees in plain words

What is covered, for how long, and what is not. A guarantee people understand is worth more than a badge they do not.

  5. A page for each job

Slate repairs, flat roofs, leadwork, chimneys. One clear page each, so the right customer lands on the right answer.

  6. Fast in the rain

These visits happen on phones, often in a hurry and on a weak signal. A page that loads slowly loses the job to one that does not.

What Storm does, and why

Creative roofing website ideas only earn their place if they help a worried visitor do the one thing that matters: call.

  1. The storm at its height: dark sky, driving rain, loose slates lifting on the roof.
The number never moves. Everything else is in motion. The one thing a panicking visitor needs stays still, steady and calm.
  2. Midway: the wind dropping and the slates locking down in a wave across the roof.
The storm eases as you read. The page moves from the problem to the reassurance in the order a worried customer needs it: what to do now, how emergencies go, what is guaranteed.
  3. After the storm: a clear evening sky, every slate flat and the roof window lit warm.
It ends dry. The last frame is the outcome the customer is paying for, with one clear thing to do next.

What is realistic for your own site

Not every roofer needs a storm. The parts that win the job are plain: the number, the emergency process, real photos, clear guarantees and a fast page. A signature moment like this one is the layer on top, for a roofer who wants to be the one people remember.
